TTS (Training and Testing Services) want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. As 2022 draws to an end we reflect on the last year and look forward to 2023.
Charity Christmas Donation
As usual, we make a charitable donation in lieu of Christmas cards. The sentiment of wishing everyone a Merry Christmas is still there, but instead of spending money on cards, we use this money for good causes.
This year is no different. We made our usual donation to Macmillan Cancer Support. A charity that means a lot to the team here at TTS and has helped us personally over the years. In addition to this, this year, we have also donated to Yorkshire Aid Convoy. For those who follow us, you will know how much we like to support his amazing charity. In addition to donating one of our mobile trucks earlier this year. We have also assisted with 2 of the convoy trips to the Ukraine and plan to assist with the next trip scheduled for 2023.
New Office
It has been a year of expansion for us. In October, we officially moved our head office into our own bespoke building. The new head office and the revamped training centre are taking shape nicely. There is still a few things in progress. The team at De-Signs are working on the final designs of our meeting room, together with a special piece on the mobile unit that we donated to the Ukraine – Trish. Who was named after we lost our much loved mother/mother-in-law in between Christmas and New Year last year. We can’t wait for the final pieces to come together and officially launch the training centre and head office in 2023.
First Aid Training
In addition to the approved and accredited abrasive wheel training, face fit training and face fit testing services that we offer, this year we expanded into first aid training. As with all our services we strive to deliver to the highest standards and first aid is no exception. The training we deliver is NUCO approved and we use a team of NUCO accredited instructors. Nuco Training Ltd is an approved centre with First Aid Awards Ltd, an Ofqual and SQA regulated awarding organisation. This allows us to deliver a range of nationally regulated qualifications. In the 6 months since launching our first aid training we have trained in excess of 1,500 trainees and built an amazing team of accredited instructors. We are very excited to see what 2023 has in store for our first aid training department.
Training and Testing Services
Whilst we have developed our first aid training department, we have also focussed heavily on our abrasive wheel training, face fit testing and face fit training. Having been accredited by the BAF for abrasive wheel training for well over a decade, we are delighted to be part of a team of accredited training companies working closely together with the British Abrasives Federation members to develop the abrasive wheel accreditation programme. We will be promoting more about this in 2023. Our own training is machine specific and the experienced team ensure we can deliver training on all wheel types.
TTS face fit training programme has also been updated. Our bespoke face fit test stations at our head office training centre, offers a unique experience for all the people booking onto our face fit train the tester course in Knaresborough. This year, we also developed our fit2fit mentor programme which we offer to anyone attending our face fit training course – at no extra cost. To date, we have helped a large number of people achieve fit2fit accreditation. We pride ourselves on the standard of training. Both our qualitative and quantitative courses are approved by fit2fit. Currently there are only 8 companies in the UK approved to deliver training in both methods.
The face fit testing service that we offer is delivered by fit2fit accredited face fit testers and this year we conducted face fit testing in Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. Our service offers great value and with dual testing available, means we can conduct even more face fit tests in a day.
Christmas Opening Hours
Our office closes at 16:30pm on 22nd December and will re-open on 3rd January at 09:00am.
The last order date on our online shop TTS Supplies is 21 December. Any orders received after this date will be processed on our return on 3rd Jan 2023.
Merry Christmas
It has been an amazing year, we have developed some great working relationships and cemented existing ones. We are very excited for 2023 but in the meantime, we want to wish all our colleagues, associates, customers and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and a safe and healthy new year.
