Our asbestos awareness training course is designed to educate and protect workers against the effects of asbestos. With units covering safe working practices and the properties of asbestos, our course will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of Regulation 10 of CAR 2012.

Any organisation that allows builders or maintenance personnel onto their premises should ensure that they have evidence of asbestos awareness training.

The certificate issued with this course will not have an expiry date; expiry dates on Asbestos Awareness certificates are not a legal requirement.

Our Asbestos Awareness Training Course is delivered by experienced instructors

It is a legal requirement that all who may come across asbestos in their day to day work have been provided with asbestos awareness training.

Any organisation that allows builders or maintenance personnel onto their premises should ensure that they have evidence of asbestos awareness training.

All of our asbestos instructors hold the BOHS P405 (Management of Asbestos in Buildings) proficiency qualification

Asbestos Awareness Course Content

This course is conducted in accordance with the requirements of Regulation 10 of CAR 2012 by an experienced instructor and covers the following subjects:

The properties of asbestos and its interaction with smoking
Why asbestos is so dangerous?
Why was asbestos used?
Uses of asbestos
What asbestos exposure could do to you
The need for asbestos surveys
Safe working practices and protective clothing
Emergency procedures

Who Should Attend?

“Every employer shall ensure that adequate information, instruction and training is given to those of this employees who are or who are liable to be exposed to asbestos, or who supervise such employees”

Course Requirements

This training course is a 1/2 day course conducted anywhere in the UK for a maximum of 15 trainees and can be conducted on any site that has suitable facilities (power and seating).

Certification

You will receive a certificate of attendance on completion of the course (which is emailed in a PDF format), as well as an individual training record (to provide proof of training) and a comprehensive set of course notes for each trainee.
