First Aid Training

NUCO & FAA Accredited First Aid Training Courses 

Training & Testing Services offer a range of first aid training courses and qualifications. Suitable for businesses, organisations and individuals across the UK.

We are a NUCO accredited first aid training provider. Our training syllabus is approved by First Aid Awards Ltd, an awarding body regulated by Ofqual.

We are able to run our first aid courses on-site at your premises, or as open courses at one of our training centres in North Yorkshire or South London.

FIRST AID COURSES

FIRST AID AT WORK (3 Days)

Level 3 RQF (England & Wales), Level 6 SCQF (Scotland).

The first aid at work training course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces to become a confident first aider at work. Giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.

1-12 Attendees: On-Site Training

EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (1 Day)

Level 3 RQF (England & Wales), Level 6 SCQF (Scotland).

This one-day course will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only, is sufficient for your workplace.

ANNUAL FIRST AID REFRESHER (1/2 Day)

Although it is not mandatory, the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommend that qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders undertake an annual refresher course in order to keep their skills up-to-date and refreshed.

This half day annual refresher course has been designed to meet that requirement and will help First Aiders to maintain their skills and knowledge whilst also keeping up-to-date with any changes to protocols.

FORESTRY FIRST AID COURSE (2 Hours)

Level 3 RQF (England & Wales), Level 6 SCQF (Scotland).

This course provides the knowledge and competence for a learner to deal with emergency first aid situations in a forestry/agricultural environment and covers the recommended topics stated in the Forestry Commission First Aid policy 2015. All learners must hold an in date Level 3 Emergency First Aid or Level 3 First Aid at work qualification.

CPR & AED (1 Day)

Level 2 RQF (England & Wales), Level 5 SCQF (Scotland).

A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. A person’s chance of survival falls by about 10% for each minute that passes without defibrillation.

The risk of death can be reduced if you have a defibrillator in your workplace and know how to use it. If you already have a defibrillator, it’s important that your employees know where it is.

1-12 Attendees: On-Site Training

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT & AED (1/2 Day)

Level 2 RQF (England & Wales), Level 5 SCQF (Scotland).

Resuscitation training normally takes place over three hours and includes the necessary theory followed by lots of practical “hands-on” practice to build confidence.

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID (2 Days)

Level 3 RQF (England & Wales), Level 6 SCQF (Scotland).

This two-day paediatric first aid course focuses on emergency scenarios that face those looking after young children and infants, including day nurseries, private nursery schools, pre-schools, before and after school clubs for children in the early years age group, childminders and carers of children at home. This is a more in-depth and comprehensive course than the 1 Day Paediatric Emergency First Aid.
